The Center’s for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report (MMWR) has an occasional series on Defining Moments in MMWR History. Today, we bring you their most recent episode, which focuses on the CDC’s response to the 2001 anthrax attacks in which spores of Bacillus anthracis were sent through the mail. Overall, 22 people became ill and 5 of whom died.
